StateRelocator provides a free, browser-based calculator that estimates disposable income in different U.S. states after applying simplified federal and state tax calculations, statewide median housing costs, and typical grocery expenses for a single adult. The Service uses publicly available data from the IRS, U.S. Census Bureau, Tax Foundation, EIA, and MIT Living Wage Calculator.
All calculations are performed client-side in your browser. Your inputs are not transmitted to or stored on our servers.
